Case of the Detective Dog

A dog’s love for her master provides the clues that the police need for solving the disappearance of a young woman who works for a multimillion dollar charitable foundation. Rob MacKay is asked by the owner of the foundation to find the woman. When police discover that twenty-eight million dollars are also missing, the case becomes more complicated, exposing the sometimes sordid dealings of the Silicon Valley’s Tech community.

Note from the author: Anyone that has a cat or a dog for a pet knows the attachment that exists between human and animal. Well maybe not so much for a cat to his human, but that is beside the point. In our family it’s always been English Springer Spaniels. Their excitement when you come home, the pure joy of going to the beach, their protection of anyone they consider family, even the way they follow you into the shower, all show the connection that goes far beyond just being a pet. In this novel, I violated one of the first rules of fiction writing (unless you’re Steven King) “Don’t harm a dog.”. This dog however throughout the book keeps providing clues to the murderer. Without its help the twenty-eight million dollars might never have been found and the murderer not brought to justice. Please forgive me for harming the dog.
